The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the superior quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support place made for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for sassa status that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
